We have prepared a *concise* update on the FDC design process, and we ask
for your help in translating it so that as many people as possible are kept
informed of the process, even if they find it hard (or can't spare the
time) to follow or participate in English on Meta.

Dear Wikimedia Community,

As many of you know, a deep discussion has been happening on Meta over the
past few weeks about the design of the new Funds Dissemination Committee.
 For those of you who haven't followed along in great detail, we've created
a short summary of the goals of the work and the recommendation that is

Three requests:
* Please read the summary, as this has important implications for future
funding within the movement
* Please forward it along to any lists or communities that you think should
be aware of this work
* Please translate it or ask others to translate it so that other
communities can stay up to date as well.  To date, the majority of this
discussion has happened in English and we are eager to share this update in
other languages as well.
