[Mediawiki-i18n] Bug in JS implementation of plural?

I'm not sure when it got added but it's been documented and the given
example [1] works in JS

'Box has {{PLURAL:$1|one egg|$1 eggs|12=a dozen eggs}}.'

It just doesn't seem to work if I do

'Box has {{PLURAL:$1|one egg|$1 eggs|12=a dozen eggs belonging to $2}}.'

I raised bug https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=69993 in
case this is indeed an oversight.
