Each wikimedia project has its own ruleset.
For instance, your translations here on meta make you a valued
contributor here on meta.
So should "votes" would happen here, your work here would count (say,
for an steward election).

Work you make on other wikis only count on that wiki.

If you like translation, you may also help translating pages at
commons, which is also a plurilingue project (and then your
translation work there would establish you as a good editor there
(translating = editing) ).

However, ultimately, edit count doesn't mean anything.
