The board recently made a statement[1] about articles on the subject
of living people.  Community members have requested that this page be
translatable, since it applies to many different communities and a
variety of languages.  You can translate it on Meta-Wiki.[2]

== Reminders about open requests ==
* the Licensing update ending soon, please finish up those translations[3]
* Wikimania 2009 has pages to translate[4]
* the privacy policy[5] was recently updated but was not widely
translated.  We will be pushing a wide update in the coming weeks, but
you can get a head-start if you have time.[6]
